Because if you are making mistakes, then you are making new things, trying new things, learning, living, pushing yourself, changing yourself, changing your world. You’re doing things you’ve never done before, and more importantly, you’re doing something.

So that’s my wish for you, and all of us, and my wish for myself. Make new mistakes. Make glorious, amazing mistakes. Make mistakes nobody’s ever made before. Don’t freeze, don’t stop, don’t worry that it isn’t good enough, or it isn’t perfect, whatever it is: art, or love, or work or family or life.

Whatever it is you’re scared of doing, Do it in 2013.

This sweet baby girl was a perfect little model. She slept like an angel and we managed to capture some beautiful images.

But, if she wanted you to know something, she would let out a very little, oh-so-dainty, girly scream. And even THAT was adorable! LOL

A BEAUTIFUL Mom expecting a baby (a GIRL!) this winter!

When Tara talks about her family, you can hear the excitement, the joy and the LOVE in her words. You can just tell how loved this little baby will be! This little miracle is someone Tara, her husband, and 2 children have been eagerly anticipating.

And I am truly honoured to get to play apart in that joy!

Well… a mini session is a quick session that will last roughly 30 minutes.

They are absolutely perfect for the family who just wants a few up-to-date photos to use for the most amazing gifts and holiday cards.

Wondering what’s included?!

$120.00 will get you, a 30 minute ‘mini’ session (at an outdoor location of Carie’s choice) -10 digital proofs for you to choose from (available to view online, in a password protected gallery for 1 week) -5 digital files of your choice on a high-resolution disk

Session spots ALWAYS fill up crazy fast this time of year, so make sure you book early to ensure you get an updated family photo this year!

Fine print:

-To save your date, a $60 deposit will be due the day of your booking, with the remaining amount due the day of your session and is non-refundable due to cancellation. -Extra digital files ARE available for purchase at $20 per file.
-Mini Sessions are designed for immediate family only, additional people are subject to a 15$ charge per additional person.

Sometimes I get requests to photograph weddings.

It is tempting, I can fully admit that.  I mean, having two people over the age of 2, who can both look at the camera AND smile at the same time!

It sounds pretty awesome! =)

  Let me explain…

A wedding is an entirely different kind of photography. Different equipment, different skills, assistants, editing… it’s just not the same thing as shooting a newborn or a family. Photographers often specialize in a certain level of  photography. But it does not mean they can do it all. I LOVE what I do.  I LOVE portrait photography.  Capturing the innocence of a baby, an expecting mama to be, or the love in a family.

It’s just that simple! That is what I do!

If you are looking for a wedding photographer in the Chilliwack, BC area, I DO have friends that adore photographing weddings and are INCREDIBLE at doing so.  They LOVE capturing this special event.  If you are interested, I can gladly pass their info along to you, but for right now…
